Loop Meadow Stadium

As well as being one of the best grounds in the Hellenic league, Loop Meadow Stadium is also one of the best grounds in Oxfordshire. It was opened in time for the1999/2000 season, the first competitive game on the new pitch was against Banbury United (a game that Didcot lost 2-0). Along with the main pitch there is also a superb training pitch and the club have plans to provide other facilities in the near future.
Didcot Town have hosted a number of teams from higher Leagues including Reading, Oxford United, Swindon Town and a Gillingham XI of the Nationwide Leagues.  Many of these visiting clubs are complimentary about the Stadium, and they are often keen to return.  More recently we have had teams training at our stadium prior to local nationwide matches (Sheffield Wednesday amongst them).  we have also played host to Reading and Oxford Reserves matches in the Combination League along with their various Youth sides.  We had the Australian National Academy side play at the Loop Meadow in 2002.

With planning permission granted for further stands, we are confident that the club can make necessary improvements should we wish to climb the football pyramid.  In summer of 2005 we added the necessary covered standing area to allow us to join the Southern League should we win the Hellenic Premier League in the future.

Other visitors to Loop Meadow include Reading manager Alan Pardew and the then Assistant coach (now at Southampton) John Gorman, along with ex-England manager Kevin Keegan, Peter Beardsley, Jack Charlton, Jimmy Greaves, Alan Ball, Denis Law, Frank Worthington, Paul Bracewell, Tommy Smith, Eric Gates, Peter Osgood and Ron Harris.

HIRE CHARGES

The Function Room is available for hire - from a children's birthday party, to a wedding reception or even a Presentation Evening.

Weekend rate (for non-members): 6pm-11pm - £150 plus VAT

Friday Evening and midweek are at a negotiated rate depending upon availability.

Extensions are available until 12 midnight at an additional cost of £15 and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays at a cost of £50.

Buffets and discos arrangements can be made (details on request).
