|
Coed-y-Brenin is quickly becoming a mountain biking center of excellence. Already
boasting a great visitor center, cycle shop, bike hire, bike wash, cafe, car park
and toilets - it also now has five waymarked mountain bike routes: with a short
downhill racing dual course, and another trail, "MBR route", planned for summer
2000.
The routes cater for all abilities, but below is details
of the Red Bull route, recommended only for experienced riders.

The trail involves some 7 miles (11.5k) of riding on a wide variety of tracks, from
wide, fast forest roads, rough rocky narrow trail, to brilliant singletrack.
Some
features to look out for - Dafydds Drop Off, Al's Loop, The Rocky
Horrorshow, and The Root Of All Evil....
There are some tough, long
climbs and some very technical rocky descents so please take care.
