"Who is Plank?." I hear you scream.

Well Plank is possibly one of the best UK musicians around today.

"Say's who?."

The people that have worked with him, and those that have heard him play live in any of the bands he's been in. That's who.

"Like Who?"

Band's he has done work for over the years since the early 80's inc... Duran Duran, Roxy Music, Smokey, Ian Gillan Band, Thin Lizzy,The Nolans, The Dooleys, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, UB-40, Toyah, Rain,The Fall, The The, Tea Party, New Order to name a few.

"Why have I never heard of him then?."

His work is all done under his company name of 'QUADRA MUSIC'.

"Who?."

The name came from one of his all time fave keyboards of the 80's, the ARP Quadra. When he works for any 'NAME' people, studios, T.V., radio or on any session work, he goes under the Quadra Music banner.

"Is he any Good?."

Now that is a question that can only be answered by yourself. But in the last band he was with won two separate, ‘Band of the Year' awards in the UK for 1998/99. Many people at the gigs have said on many occasions that he is the best guitarist that they have heard.

"Does he know his stuff though?."

YES, He's been in the business since 1980, playing live, working in music retail in the UK and road crew work all over the world. His knowledge of older gear is as vast as the list of old gear out there. His playing may not cover all styles, but for Rock and POP, his style sits spot on in any mix. His use of the gear he uses gets any sound asked of him, with the minimum of fuss and in no time at all. And it is the sound plus his playing that has got him the name he has. People around the Manchester area come to him for lessons on the Boss GT-5.
