IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH.

3) The Word of God (The Logos).

-i) The translation and distribution of the Holy Scriptures.

Since Babel in the generations after the flood of judgement upon the world, mankind has been divided and scattered into various ethnic, cultural and linguistic groups. The history given to mankind in the first chapter of Bible scripture was taken along in the various migratory routes leading to the various legends in worldwide cultures of the great flood and early man. Each nation has put known history into its own language. As the Hebrew people were those appointed by God to be the witnesses of his grace and faithfulness and righteousness to the whole world, they were given the divine revelation of the holy one through the prophetic writings. Other nations have taken wisdom and knowledge from the Hebrew and sought to translate it into their own languages through the ages. At the time of the incarnation of the Messiah, the Saviour of the World, the empire dominating the world was Roman, yet the language in common parlance was Greek, and became the language of the new testament writings as a whole. The Greek Empire had in the preceding few centuries produced an authorised translation of the Hebrew Bible - this translated version of the Hebrew Scriptures was known as the Septuagint.

Since the Lord gave the disciples the words of truth in all the languages of the Jews attending the Temple at Jerusalem rom around the ancient world, (after he had ascended into Heaven), the message of the Kingdom of Heaven has been published and proclaimed to all tongues and nations that the Lord has reached through his people. In early centuries after the resurrection a complete Latin Bible was translated, and various translations in other european languages appeared trhoughout the Middle Ages. At the time of the european reformation the return to the Hebrew and Greek scriptures originally inspired by God led to the multiplication in translations as the people of God renewed and refreshed their commitment to the Word of God and its power in people's lives. The divine mission to bring saving truth to all people in the world has progressed century by century.
