Riker
Beverly fleeces her poker playing protagonist most majorly in Cause and Effect. Against all odds she took him in a very different way in The Host.
Dr Crusher takes an active attitude of indifference to action man Riker following his initial presumptuous parlance with Dr Crusher in Encounter at Farpoint, before they even step a foot onboard the Enterprise. As she points out "I am sure commander, there are reasons for a first officer to want to demonstrate his energy and alertness to a new captain, but since my duties and interests are outside the command structure...."
After she has made it clear to commander Riker that she is not just some other woman for him to charm or boss around impertinently, she admits that "I was accusing you of inventing work in order to curry favour with our new captain."
And then just as Riker starts to sense some respect, she floors him with the first-name-terms suggestion that "Maybe this is something Jean-Luc would like looking in to".
Beverly seems to get on a bit better with Riker as his drama coach in Frame of Mind, but the initial tension between them still persists as seen when he tries to advise her "as a friend" in Suspicions, just one episode later.
