| The Big Goodbye |
| It seems that Beverly gets some ideas of her own while she removes the lipstick from Jean-Luc's face after he returns from his Dixon Hill holodeck novel. Obviously she says that the holodeck kiss might have been "exciting" for Jean-Luc, but quickly after he invites her to join him on the next visit, Beverly's smile falls off her face when the captain suggests bringing along Mr Whalen as well. |
| Jean-Luc is gobsmacked when he sees Beverly dressed up in her 1920's gear: "I must say, you wear it well. I'm glad you could make it". But, as usual, the captaincy thing and his awkward guilt quickly show as after Beverly thanks him for the compliment, he immediately replies "Maybe we should be getting back to the Enterprise", meaning he wants to get back to his work and escape the emotional torture of the romantically insecure holodeck surroundings. |
| Beverly keeps him on track though, asking "Do we have time to see your office?", but although Jean-Luc agrees and the two of them walk away to smuggle a little time together on their own, both Mr Whalen and Data want in on the action, clearly to Beverly's utter despair. |
 |
Beverly can just not believe Data's crass intervention when he hacks in with a well over the top accentuated "Me too boss, I'd love to take a gander". |
| I think at that moment, Beverly would love to turn round and kick Data square in the nuts and bolts. |
| Mind you, the Coming of Age shows that Beverly can keep her feelings close to her chest if required. |
