The sole remaining part of Darrington Hall is a private house now surrounded by a relatively recent housing development.
   
Darrington Hall was a manorial home.
At Domesday Darrington was the largest manor in the district.  It was also the richest.  The annual value was 100 shillings.

The four families, De Lacy, Fitzwilliam, Savile and  Sotheron were notable and have significant histories of their own.
According to T W Tew Darrington Hall was only occupied once in this time by its actual owner.
