Darrington Windmill at the end of the nineteenth century.

This photograph originally belonged to Mr Glover whose family were millers and who himself went on to make a living with traction engines used on local farms. This photograph came to light through Michael Leach who lives in the village and has a keen interest in local history.

In this second look at aspects of Darrington's past I have chosen the windmill, the remains of which stand on the western edge of the village.
