MARTIN BURTON & THE SOULMEN

Martin was a founder memberof , bass player and lead vocalist of The Gents, an 80s recording and club band. That band were one of the biggest names on the Working Mans Club circuit, they recorded 2 albums and a number of singles.

Following their demise, Burton formed Lip Service who worked on the club/cabaret circuit in the 90s. He formed The Soulmen at the end of that decade. The group, who perform soul /Motown / Doo-Wop songs feature four male singers, each of whom can take the lead vocals/frontman. They perform slick dance routines and can harmonise perfectly together. The Soulmen's great shows feature classic numbers originally performed by The Drifters, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Dobie Gray, The Four Seasons, Bill Withers, Sam and Dave, The Trammps, The O'Jays and many more.
