Fenrock Charity CD - Released Sep 2006

I've just finished compiling an album of tracks by 20 artists from the Spalding area. It should be on sale from next week, priced £5. It features local favourites such as Glass Onion, Zebra, Smokescreen, The Past, Cool Tapes, Acer, Yello Snow, James Chadwick and Erika Black. Every penny made goes to charity - proceeds will be split between the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and Care (a charity that care for people with severe learning difficulties). It will be on sale at the lincs and notts air ambulance shop in spalding, buy/sell/exchange (spalding), spalding music shop, Live Music in Peterborough and via post (email me at this address or call 07843921284).

Whilst we already have a large data base of both local & National bands, there are still a number of local bands whose profile does not appear on our website - Unfortunately with only limited time & money it is difficult for us to see all the band's currently playing at venues in our area - obviously not every band has access to the internet yet, but perhaps fans or friends may have - tell us about your favourite bands & performers, so that other visitors to the Fizgig website are aware of these bands & performers. We will be adding more new dates & profiles to this page, as we receive the information, so please check back from time to time as we are constantly receiving new dates. If your band currently doesn't have any gigs, you can still include a profile of your band & music on these pages, in our Profiles section which is available for all site visitors to read. (Search engines have the ability to locate these details, after spidering our site - this enables people who may not have heard of our site being directed to your name, if they are looking for info about your band! - Please note - it may take a few months to update altavista's system for these links to become available following listing on our site)

Our attention was drawn to this site by The Gainsborough Standard Newspaper Editor who mentioned on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, about 2 young students who had started their own Online Music Magazine. The site features News, reviews, Band Information, New Releases, etc. Featuring some of young local & national bands, who often don't attract the attention of nationally circulated magazines, including Lincoln's own Laurie Bennett & The Models, & Astral Soup. Well worth checking out!
