PHIL LLOYD

Phil started playing rock and roll with The Five Aces back in the 60s, before turning to country music after seeing the film, The Hank Williams Story. He has performed with various combos, including The Lloyd James Band and The Larry Hinchcliffe Trio, after this he teamed up with Ken Durrans (in The Davidsons) before forming his own trio, then band Phil Lloyd Sound. Later in the 70s he joined The Collier Dixon Line then award winning band Mustang.

In the 80s came The Shackband, but with the changed economic climate, in the 90s he teamed up again with Ken Durrans as the duo Phil and Ken. He now works mainly as a solo artist and has recorded a number of albums, both with bands and solo. With years of experience working clubs up and down the country, Phil is both a highly respected artist and a great entertainer.

His repertoire includes great songs from American country legends including Alan Jackson, Marty Robbins, George Jones and of course Hank Williams.
