THE HANGMEN - Power punk rockabilly trio ~ a ghoulish act from Stockton-On-Tees, The Hangmen have supported bands such as the psychobilly legends The Meteors, and Goth-Punks The Damned and regularly appear at festivals and venues throughout Britain, Europe and USA.

HICKSVILLE BOMBERS - The Millenium sees the Bombers move into a new phase in their career, they have taken on a management team with a sole purpose is to break the band into new areas and receive a wider audience showing people still like to Rock'n'Roll in the new millenium. The management team have managed/promoted The Polecats, Restless, Deltas, The Klub Foot etc to name a few. April they set up a recording session with a top producer called Tom Newman who has produced albums for Virgin/Emi, Mike Oldfield, Paul McCartney and many more. The session was purposely done to produce a good demo for top record labels and be radio friendly. Four songs had been recorded the Oasis 'Wonderwall', Rock classic 'Born to be Wild', Billy Furys 'Like i've never been gone'. and self-written 'Love Substitute'. This should cover a wide range of listeners but still keep the Bombers unique sound making the covers almost thier own. May 2000 sees them touring New York U.S.A. with gigs in New york, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Long Island etc. July 2000 sees them headling a Rockin' Bikers festival in Minerbio, Bolgna, Italy. The E.P.CD is due for release very soon. For more info or Tour dates visit The Hicksville Bombers website.

HICKSVILLE BOMBERS / COUNTRY CATTIN' UPDATE ~ APR 2001

We have received an email with The Hicksville Bombers latest news, here's what the band and Country Cattin' are currently up to:

Pete ( Geordie ) has decided that the busy schedule with the 'Bombers' was a bit much and has decided to call it a day you may still catch him playing with his other band ' The Sinners' so check them out if you see them advertised somewhere, we hope he has every success in the future and hope he can rise above his personal problems, he has been suffering for a while and though we all smile on stage sometimes a musicians best talent isn't music but acting. As we say goodbye to Pete we say hello to Paul.

Paul Chambers

Paul has been a personal friend of the band ever since we started in fact it was Pete that got him started on Double Bass he has played in various bands with 'The Blue Dots' being his claim to fame, He's released several albums toured europe and loves Rockin' so he was a natural choice. ( He's also the bass player with 'Country Cattin').

A weekend in Amsterdam has been organised for August we are planning to go site-seeing ( Tulips & Windmills of-course ). also for New York we have got a few gigs lined up But we are excited to be supporting Hasil Atkins at the Rumble. Nice to see a song on our last abum ( I've changed my mind) voted No 1 on a chart for Nervous Records.

Country Cattin'

With Country Cattin' we recorded at the Riverside Studios with Chris we Started at 11a.m. and by 5pm 22 tracks had been recorded, A big thankyou to Chris for his time as we did work him hard, he made it very relaxed and exciting to be there. His comments on certain songs where great and his use of echos & reverbs have transformed an alright song into something really good checkout the C.D. very soon.

Dennis Sheldrick - (Route 66 / Rockin' Janitor)

Dennis sadly passed away February he was a very close friend and would support us whenever he could, he also conributed by singing with us on many gigs, He constantly had us laughing as his sense of humour was his biggest talent, especially coming home from a gig in Amsterdam when he could't get any toilet paper. We know you'll still be driving your Buick and we will always be thinking of you, See ya mate. R.I.P.
