UK Singer / Guitarist Kit Holmes music has been featured on both Bob Harris and Andy Kershaw's shows as well as many local radio stations. She toured as special guest with the UK virtuoso jazz/blues guitarist John Etheridge in Spring 2006 and they will team up again in 2007 (see below for dates). She has performed at the 2006 International Guitar Festival and at the Purcell Room, London. In November she will be playing at the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain.

Kit Holmes has already established herself as one of the rising acoustic stars on the UK music scene following the release of her debut album 'Seeing You' in Oct 2004. The album showcases her amazing guitar playing and features the legendary double bass player Danny Thompson.

Kit's sultry vocals and extraordinary guitar playing have established her as a unique performer who has toured extensively with the UK's virtuoso jazz/blues guitarists, John Etheridge.

Kit undertook a short tour during October 2004 to help promote her CD, supporting John Renbourn & Jackie McShee, and Joe Broughton and Kevin Dempsey.

Kit was interviewed and performed lived on Jerry Young's show on Radio York (which is broadcast throughout Yorkshire) on Monday 4th Oct. 2004, and has done some other radio work since including playing live on Sally Fairfax's 'The Live Lounge' programme on BBC Radio Leeds in Nov 2005.

Her CD has also been featured on a Dutch radio station, comments translating from the original Dutch say "Her exclusive voice is excellent in all the 11 songs on this cd" and the "Great guitar playing of Kit Holmes with influences of pop, folk, blues en soul are making this cd a great cd to listen to" and "I wish you a lot of joy listening to this cd."

The Observer likened her music to Nick Drake and Macy Gray. She was asked to give a master-class at Paul McCartney's LIPA and to play for the Honorary Doctoral Ceremony for Andy Kershaw and Bill Bryson at the University of Leeds.

A rare talent, audiences first appreciated her marvallous guitar playing when she performed as one half of Dark Lantern.
