Once again the Heart Of Lincolnshire Club is proud to present another new act to the county, this time from Canada. Two Tall Women are a mother / daughter duo, Pam & Beth Southwell.

Currently on a UK tour, Two Tall Women play a mix of traditional English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish songs and original numbers performed with stunning harmonies, warmth, passion and multi-instrumental accompaniment.

Pam, a dynamic songwriter, singer and storyteller began singing in folk clubs in Yorkshire and during her stay in England formed The Canadian Connection setting up tours for Rachel Page. She returned to Canada in 1993, forming Three Tall Women in 1996, later becoming Two Tall Women in 1999. Pam's songs communiate her passion for the environment and life and focus on the positive! Pam has proved a great hit with children too, delighting young audiences around the UK, at venues as diverse as Blickling Hall in Norfolk, and Wembley Exhibition Centre at a Parent and Baby Care World Exhibition.

Beth influenced by her mother's love of music, has developed as a singer songwriter in her own right, she performs melodic original songs as well as contemporary and traditional folk. Her soft acoustic style and her haunting songs of life will speak to all. Her lyrical melodies linger in the mind for days, she plays guitar mainly but also plays hand drum, penny whistle, mandolin and accordion. She is also a keen supporter of music in her community, organising and co-ordinating local music events. As well as Canada, Beth has performed in Ireland, Scotland and Europe, and released her own CD 'Revealing Grace'.

The duo released their fine debut CD 'Out Of The Woods' in 2002, the album features mainly traditional songs sensitively arranged by Pam, a couple of original numbers and 'Crazy Man Michael'.

With strong material, wonderful harmonies and splendid musicianship Two Tall Women with provide a musical treat for our 2nd Hot Night In July!
