THU 10 JUN 2004

Brothers Gary and Duncan Wilcox (Percussion & Double Bass respectively) who once played in folk-pop group Bonetti, and Phil Hulse (Guitar) have teamed up in The Queensberry Rules, an acoustic trio that is exciting audiences wherever they play.

Tipping a wink to folk, bluegrass, country & blues wrapped up with a skiffle sensibility, a wry sense of humour, lyrical sense and watertight harmonies, The Queensberry Rules have an almost indefinable sound. The band have released two critially acclaimed CD's & their third 'Heritage & History' is due out in June, material from the new album including audience favourites 'Mapman' and 'Jam Jar Wakes' feature in the band's great live shows, along with inspirational arrangements of traditional songs & original songs.

The band's fan base is growing with every gig, helped by some impressive support slots including Strawbs, Chris and Kellie While, Bob Fox and Dick Gaughan. Later this year they have festival dates with Fairport Convention and The Levellers. Perhaps your first and only opportunity to catch this fine act in an intimate Lincolnshire music club.
