MON 10 JAN

BILL WHALEY & DAVE FLETCHER

Back by public demand! The county's favourite duo are rapidly being discovered by the rest of the country - its only a matter of time before they conquer the rest of the world, so come and see them before they move to Hollywood.

MON 14 FEB

BIG AL WHITTLE / PAUL DICKINSON & ANGELA KING

Another of our double bills of evenings featuring local(ish) performers. Big Al lived in Boston for several years before eventually ending up in Derbyshire. He recently won the 'Best Performer' prize in the BBC Radio Lincolnshire Write A Folk Song finals. He plays blues, ragtime, country & folk and his own highly original songs. He's also extremely funny.

Paul & Angela are well known at Boston Folk Club for performing their original songs, along with versions of other writers' material. And there's a rather clever connection between these two acts, as Paul won the aforementioned Folk Song Competition with a ditty about a certain local politician, which we're sure he'll be singing tonight.

MON 14 MAR

WINTER WILSON

Another local duo who are finally making deserved waves beyond the county border. Dave Wilson's songs just keep getting better and Kip Winter's vocals perform them perfectly. With a new CD recently released, this evening promises to be a cracker, with a great mixture of old classics and new material. Don't miss it!

PETE MORTON

Yet another in the seemingly endless line of great songwriters produced by the British folk music scene, Pete is also a terrific performer of traditional songs as well and his sets will doubtlessly consist of a mixture of both. An evening with Pete Morton is always worth going to.

What can we say about this wonderful songwriter that hasn't been said umpteen times already? Harvey is one of the most popular artists on the British folk scene and for a very good reason - he always provides a fantastic evening's entertainment. MON 19 SEP

JOHN CONOLLY & PETE SUMNER

The last time this duo played at Boston Folk Club, they were fantastic! John Conolly's songwriting and musicianship is well known in the area, but the combination with Pete's tasteful accompaniments give them another dimension. Add to that some wonderfully witty introductions and a great start to the new season is on the cards.

Do your best to come along for the first of some memorable evenings to take us to the end of the year.

MON 10 OCT

BRIAN PETERS

MON 14 NOV

ROSIE DOONAN & BEN MURRAY

The debut appearance at Boston Folk Club for a new and exciting young duo from Yorkshire. Rosie's pedigree should be obvious from her surname. Ben is a multi-instrumentalist of the sort who shouldn't be allowed (ie sickeningly talented). With a repertoire comprising of some beautifully arranged original material and traditional songs performed with passion and respect, they are an act to watch out for. Be amongst the first to catch them live in Lincolnshire!

Members £5.00 / Visitors £6.00

MON 5 DEC

MARK HAINES & TOM LEIGHTON

All the way from Canada! A pair of musicians who have to be heard to be believed. Imagine Tanglefoot with less hands and hair, but with just as much talent and ability to excite. These guys haven't been to Boston before, but I'm willing to bet they'll be back. For additional info see Fizgig profile.

Members £6.00 / Visitors £7.00

MON 19 DEC

So here it is, Merry Christmas ... etc, etc. The usual suspects gather at The Eagle for another night of home made music and songs that neatly pass for entertainment and sometimes actually have something to do with the season. And there's food as well!
