The Blue Book Project set off on their musical exploration back in 1995. They have featured a number of Lincolnshire based musicians over the years, 6 are still active with the band including original member Rick Aron (drums/percussion/samples), Chris Large (percussion/drums/vocals), Paul Stainthorp, well known for his work with The Mix programme on BBC Radio Lincolnshire on bass/guitar/percussion, Sam Law (guitar / percussion), Zack Dykes (bass / percussion / guitar) and Gaf Baker (percussion / samples / keyboard).

The Blue Book Project's instrumental music has an organic feel and touches on many styles. It has the freedom of American West Coast sound of the 60's, yet with modern samples, within its rhythms you'll hear blues and jazz fusion, whilst their ancient African roots percussion sounds were first heard at the dawn of time itself.

The Blue Book Project make sporadic appearances at Old Nicks Tavern in Horncastle, and appeared in the early hours of Sunday morning at the 2004 Eco Fest.

More information and three numbers from the band's set that night are available to download from the Blue Book Project website.
