Jinski

Jinski are based in Newcastle and feature two highly individual guitarists/musicians with strong distinctive voices.

Steve Wegrzynski whose father came from Poland, performed solo as singer songwriter Steve Jinski, appearances included The Reading Festival, London's Mean Fiddler as well as Boston Folk Club in the early 90s. His songs come from everywhere and are inspired by the trials and tribulations of everyday life. His music speaks from the heart.

Dave Kennedy who has previously played with the band 21 Strangers, managed by the late Chas Chandler (of The Animals and Jimi Hendrix fame), is an innovative and original guitar player who has forged a musical partnership with Steve. He has been been highly influential in shaping the sound and feel of the new album 'Hurry Home'

Dick Tracey

'Dick / Tracey' are most certainly a 'Dynamic Duo'! Guitarist and singer/songwriter Dick Appleton and fiddle player Tracey Smith from the band Merlin's Keep are both very established and talented musicians in their own right, but have joined forces to present an act that seems to far outway the sum of their two virtuoso parts!

A storming appearance at this year's Cambridge Folk Festival cemented their place as an upcoming act to watch out for!

They move effortlessly from madcap, whirling tunes to sensitive, lyrical ballads and airs, then without warning they will whisk the listener away in songs of Love, War, Mountains and Aging Rock Stars! and that's just for starters!

Pieces they will be performing include 'the First Flowers of Springtime', 'A Musical Meander', the beautiful 'Saddleworth' and 'the Zil Lane'.

Miss them at your peril... or anywhere else for that matter!
