Musical Moods is a performance by a group of students from Lincoln's Queen's Park School . They'll use props and untuned percussion to respond through music & movement to extracts from the film score of The Piano. It's a free event, starting at 10am in Lincoln's Waterside Shopping Centre.
You can hear the finals of this year's BBC Radio Lincolnshire Schools Song Contest starting at 2pm today on 94.9 and 104.7FM
At St. James Church Louth at 2pm there's a concert by 300 local schoolchildren. Admission at the door is just £l.
The Rotary Club of East Elloe is organising a celebration of youth achievement in music starting at 7pm in All Saints Church, Holbeach. Five primary schools and two secondary schools will provide a programme of music to include choirs, brass bands, junk band & samba band. At half past seven you can join Michael Courtney in a tribute to the stage and screen at the Festival Pavilion in Skegness. He's featuring songs from the shows including Les Miserables, Starlight Express, The Lion King, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Aspects of Love. You can go along to a lunchtime recital by Louise Marsh, the assistant organist at Wakefield Cathedral in St Hugh's Choir at Lincoln Cathedral. It starts at noon and finishes at 12-45pm, and there'll be a varied programme of organ music. Admission is free, but there'll be a retiring collection in aid of the Lincoln Cathedral Music Appeal.
There's a free afternoon recital by Japanese violinist, Chikako Sato starting at
12-30pm in the Conoco Room in Louth Library.
And in the evening, there's a Ceilidh in Town Hall. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Louth Tourist Information Centre.
The organisers of the Sleaford Water Weekend are pushing the boat out for BBC Music Live, starting tonight at 7-30pm, when there will be a concert by Sleaford Concert Band in the Riverside Green Marquee by the town's Eastgate car park. Youngsters from Boston and Horncastle are getting together for a "Friends of Boston Youth Bands and Orchestras" free all day event between 10 in the morning and 5-30 in the evening. They'll be appearing on a specially built stage facing the pedestrian precinct at the end of Strait Bargate. The provisional timetable for the entertainment starts at 10.00am with St Thomas Primary School Choir , followed by The Haven High School Choir at 10.45am , Boston Schools String Orchestra at 11.30am, then in the afternoon Boston High School Madrigal Group at 12.15pm, Horncastle Music Centre Windband at one o clock, Boston Youth Jazz Orchestra at two, Boston Grammar School Jazz Band at 3.15pm, and the Boston Area Windband will round the day off starting at 4.00pm.
Starting at noon there'll be a concert by local students as part of the Sleaford Water Weekend. Disco dancers have also been invited along and there'll be entertainment for the youngsters as well. That's all taking place on the Riverside Green Marquee near the town's Eastgate car park. These events end at around 7pm and will be followed by a ceilidh with local band Higgledy Piggeldy starting at 8pm and finishing at half past ten. Tickets are £3 available from Music Plus at 17a Watergate in Sleaford. At nearby Cogglesford Mill there will be entertainment during the day by the South Lincolnshire Guitar Orchestra
There's a major night's entertainment this evening -- celebrating the history of Louth in music and dance. The narrators are Leslie Sayward, who plays Christine Archer in the famous radio series, and David Robinson, OBE, and the event is being staged in St. James Church Louth starting at 7.15 p.m. Seats cost £7 with £4 concessions from Louth Tourist Information Centre70;.. and we'll be recording this event for a future broadcast.
There's live Rock Music from 8pm at the Indian Queen on Dolphin Lane in Boston with the band "Cutting Loose." It's a free event, and for more details call 01205 360688.

Events at the Sleaford Water Weekend continue with a day aimed at families. The morning begins at 11am with a non-denominational church service in the Riverside Green Marquee on Eastgate car park with accompaniment by the Sleaford Concert Band. After this there'll be performances by local artistes for all age groups - the day will go on until around 6pm. Meanwhile at the "calmer" end of the festival there will be light entertainment going on for most of the day at Cogglesford Mill with groups of singers and small theatrical groups from the local area.
Starting at 2-30pm International Theatre Organist Russell Holmes will perform music from the last century on the Compton Theatre Pipe Organ at the Burtey Fen Collection, Burtey Fen Lane, Pinchbeck, near Spalding. It's a privately owned Music Hall housing a Compton Theatre Pipe Organ and music memorabilia from 40's to 60's. tickets are £5 and you can get more details on 01775 766081/

There'll be music on the menu at this year's Woodhall Spa & District Agricultural Show at the Jubilee Park Showground, Stixwould Road in Woodhall Spa including The Eastwood Arcadians Marching Band, Lincoln Army Cadet Band & John Paddon Jazz Band. Lincoln will be celebrating Music Live in style with open air venues at the Castle, Steep Hill, the High Street and City Square for performers including Sambawamba who will lead a procession through the city. Stand by for an afternoon of music including drumming and Caribbean sounds join in as the colourful parade winds down the hill to mix with pop and rock music staged in the area around the Cornhill.
And look out for the Samba Band in Sleaford on the last day of the town's water Weekend. They'll be playing as well as other local bands in the Riverside Marquee on the town's Eastgate car park70;. And starting at 5pm there been a huge response for a local amateur local talent competition. And down the road at Cogglesford Mill there will be regular performances by singing and theatrical groups during the day.
In Louth there's a free concert in Westgate Fields all afternoon featuring jazz, folk, rock, and comedy.
Meanwhile the Grantham based Wide World Voices - a women's group who perform songs from around the world in unique and joyful acappella -- are in concert at 3pm in the town's Finkin Street Chapel. Tickets are £3 with £1.50 concessions, available from the Grantham Guildhall Arts Centre.
BBC Radio Lincolnshire presents Sarah Jory in concert supported by local country singer Billy J at the Lawn on Union Road in Lincoln starting at 7-30pm. Folkestra live -- a group of about 12 Musicians of various ages who play mainly traditional music of the British Isles using a variety of instruments will be giving a free concert on The Bandstand, in Compass Gardens, on the Tower Esplanade, Skegness starting at 7-30pm. At 8 o clock at Trinity Arts Centre on Trinity Street in Gainsborough, there'll be live folk music in a variety of styles from local performers including Strummers, the youth workshop from the Arts Centre and members of the Folk Club.
