AFTER4

After4 are a four piece Rock band based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. They play a blend of their own original 'Real Rock' material and classic rock covers. This young band have quickly gained a good local reputation as accomplished musicians and have a very tight sound.

Many people think the band's name had something to do with school finishing time, but it actually comes from the four drum beats Jack plays to start the music.

The band only started gigging in May 03 (Aged 11-13), but have already won through to the finals of a National Talent Contest and became the youngest band to appear at the Needingworth Festival. In Sep 2003 the band were interviewed by Trevor Dann on BBC Radio with Liberty X, and two of their original tracks were played on the show 'Respect Me' and 'Taking the Blame'.

After4 are going to play more venues further afield in 2004. They are also planning to record some of their material in the Spring at a new recording studio in Godmanchester. The band are sponsored by Marks Music of Cambridge.

Next After4 Gig is:
They will be playing 3 half hour sets on Fri 19th Nov 2004, to raise money for Children In Need. AFTER4 will launch their first EP CD 'Stereotype' on the day. It contains four of their original melodic rock tracks and £1 will go to CIN for each CD sold.

Presenter Max Rushden from BBC Radio Cambridgeshire will be attempting to break the world record for the longest live broadcast and a variety of dance workshops will also be taking place throughout the day!
