REMAP

REMAP is a national registered charity whose aim is to design, manufacture and provide technical aids for disabled people where there is no suitable commercially available alternative.

REMAP operates through a network of 1,500 volunteers who make up over 100 regional panels (groups) throughout the UK.

FREE!

REMAP panels are made up entirely of volunteers who give their time for free. The materials that are used are often donated by local companies, or recycled from unwanted items. Grants and other donations from individuals and local organisations then help meet the costs of other more expensive materials. For these reasons the equipment designed and built by a panel is supplied to a disabled person free of charge!

Swindon Panel of REMAP

The Swindon Panel of REMAP, comprising some 20 volunteers from a mixture of engineering and medical backgrounds, meets regularly at the Post Office Technology Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire. Since reforming in 1995, the Swindon panel have provided a wide variety of aids for disabled people living in and around Swindon.

The monthly meeting, normally at 6pm on the first Tuesday of each month, is held to review current cases and introduce new ones.
